Key Functions and Application

  • Sensor Data Acquisition: It features 4 dedicated channel inputs designed to link with industrial strain-gauge or weighing pressure sensors and transducers. 
  • Signal Conversion & Amplification: The module converts small millivolt analog differential signals generated by load cells/pressure sensors into a reliable digital data stream. 
  • Industrial Communication Protcol: It processes and transmits information over RS485 or RS232 digital serial interfaces, standardly utilising Modbus RTU protocols to interface directly with PLCs, computers, or industrial control systems. [
  • Scalable Family Variant: It belongs to the same product family as the 8-channel (BSQ-JN-P8) and 12-channel (BSQ-JN-P12) acquisition modules, sharing similar baseline hardware architecture but scaled specifically for up to 4 input channels.
  • Typical Wiring LayoutBased on its larger 8-channel counterpart (BSQ-JN-P8), a standard terminal block layout includes: [1]
    • Power Supply: Connects to standard DC inputs (typically 12–30V DC) via V+ and GND terminals.
    • Communication Interface: Dedicated A (+) and B (-) terminal positions for differential RS485 communication lines.
    • Sensor Terminals (Per Channel): Standard 4-wire strain-gauge configuration consisting of E+ (Excitation power positive, usually 5V), E- (Excitation negative), S+ (Signal positive), and S- (Signal negative).
