Key Features

• Action: Double acting. Air pressure extends and retracts the cylinder.

How It WorksInside the metal tube, there is a round rubber seal called a piston. Air pushes on one side of the piston. The formula for the pushing force is: Force = Pressure × Area

How to Calculate ForceBecause the piston rod takes up space on one side, it has two forces:

1. Extend Force: Pushes with the full area.
2. Retract Force: Pushes with less area (because the metal rod blocks some air).
