The FFQ 939 Vacuum Pen is a hand-held tool used for picking up and placing small, delicate surface-mount device (SMD) components during electronic assembly and rework. It is a manual, low-cost alternative to tweezers, designed to prevent damage to sensitive parts. The pen does not require a power source, as it creates a vacuum through a simple squeeze-and-release button mechanism.

How it works

  1. Attach a suction cup: Select and install the appropriate suction header for the size and weight of the component you want to pick up.
  2. Squeeze the pen: Press the button on the side of the pen to expel air from the internal vacuum unit.
  3. Create suction: Place the suction cup flush against the component, then release the button to generate a vacuum and lift the component.
  4. Release the component: Move the component to its new position and press the button again to release the suction, allowing the part to drop off.
