 How to Test If They Work
If you need to verify if these heaters are functional, you can test them using a digital multimeter:
  1. Turn off power: Ensure the heater is completely disconnected from any electrical source.
  2. Set to Ohms (\(\Omega \)): Turn your multimeter dial to the resistance setting.
  3. Measure resistance: Place one probe on each of the stripped ends of the red wires.
  4. Interpret the reading:
    • Normal reading: A stable resistance value (usually between 10 to a few hundred ohms, depending on the wattage).
    • Open circuit (\(\text{OL}\) or \(\infty \)): The internal heating element is broken, and the heater must be replaced.
    • Short circuit (\(0\ \Omega\)): The internal insulation has failed, posing a safety hazard.
