Key Specifications

• Output Configuration: Open NPN Collector. It switches the negative (ground) side of the connected load circuit. 
• Light Source: Modulated Red LED working at a wavelength of 630nm to 650nm. 
• Supply Voltage: Operates on a standard industrial 12V to 24V DC (\(\pm10\%\)) power supply. 
• Response Speed: Features multiple adjustable speed modes depending on the application:
  • High Speed (HS): \(50\,\mu\text{s} - 160\,\mu\text{s}\)
  • Fine Mode (FS): \(250\,\mu\text{s} - 320\,\mu\text{s}\)

• Display Interface: Features a dual 7-segment, 8-digit digital display screen. The red characters display the current light-intensity value, and the green characters display the target threshold setting. 
• Wiring System: Pre-wired with a 2-meter, 3-core cable.
• Ingress Protection: Rated at IP50 dust protection. It is designed for clean, enclosed automation environments rather than wet areas. 

Understanding the NPN WiringBecause this is an NPN open-collector sensor, it acts as a switch to the ground. When the sensor is triggered, the black signal wire connects to the blue negative line.

• Brown Wire: Connects to the positive power terminal (\(+12\text{V}\) to \(+24\text{V}\) DC).
• Blue Wire: Connects to the negative power terminal (\(0\text{V}\) / Ground).
• Black Wire: Connects to your PLC digital input pin or relay coil load. Note that the other side of your load must be tied directly to the positive voltage line.
